Not what I expected

It seems that life can throw you for a loop now and again. Some part of me feels life should be fairer, easier, more fun. The older I get though, the more I realize that I learn so much more from the hard, unfair, unexpected trials that I get a chance to experience. Still at times they seem unbearable. It is in those time that hope seems to be needed the most. Hope for good things to come, hope for security and comfort, basic hope to get through each hard trial, that sometimes get harder and harder. I find that thinking of my Savior Jesus Christ and all he endured in our behalf helps to put things into perspective. I find that my trials make me more like him and help me understand his gift to me in a new light.
