A New Year, A New Job!

2010 has started off with lots of changes. This week is my first week working in a accounting firm. I did go back to school to get my A.A. in accounting in 2006 and graduated in 2008, but as of yet I have not been able to get a job in accounting. With the Lord's help and my therapist's tip about a CPA looking for extra help during tax season, I was able to get an interview and the job.

Today was day 3. Day 1 was very hard. I am being trained (I have some education, but no real experience) and I appreciate all that I am learning and the experience I am gaining. I hope to do well and be with the firm for a long time.

I am also commuting about 35 minutes twice a day, not bad :) and it reminds me of college. When I was doing my B.A., I made the same commute. The time for reflection, listening to great music and planning is very valuable.

I am very grateful for this new chance and I am excited for this new year. Now if I just make it through tax season, I will be fine. :)!!
