I have been wanting to go back to school. I tried doing my Masters in Accounting, did not do well, I really needed to have a B.A. first. Currently I only have the A.A., and I did enjoy that. I like working with spread sheets and budgets and financial statements. I always do my own taxes, but I have been trying for the last two years to get a job in Accounting and was hired once and only lasted a week (not fun and not the best job I have ever had :() All the other jobs I applied for did not count my education and wanted at least a year and half of experience. How are you supposed to get experience if no one will give it to you? I still don't know the answer to that. (If anyone does, let me know :).
I am going to Ashford University-check out www.ashford.edu
I am doing an online program with a speciality in teaching English as a second language. I do think I will also, do my credential. I have been putting it off for years, but I do have 7 years experience as a substitute teacher and I can use some of that experience to help me get the credential and to help me teach Adult School. With my Masters I can teach college.
I should be done in a year and a half. I look forward to school. I have always been a big nerd and love school. Wish me luck!
